Fabiola Obregón
M.D., Psychiatrist
I am a board-certified general psychiatrist providing outpatient care for adults ages 18 to 64. The psychiatry approach I have come to enjoy is integrative. I practice medication management alongside the six pillars of lifestyle medicine: whole-food nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of harmful substances, and positive social/spiritual connectedness. Therefore, I work best with individuals who are interested in engaging in meaningful, in-depth work, exploring not just symptom relief but the underlying patterns that shape their lives. Amongst the six pillars, nutrition plays a central role in my work. As a former registered dietitian nutritionist, I place a strong emphasis on the connection between what we eat and how we feel and think. Because my approach is informed by acceptance and commitment therapy, I am dedicated to getting to know what my patients value: we invite the question “What matters to me?” rather than “What’s the matter with me?” My patients can expect psychiatric treatment that is collaborative, thoughtful, and individually tailored.
