Rebecca Storment

Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist

Rebecca Storment, Ph.D., approaches psychotherapy as a process of shared exploration of one’s unique problems that offers meaningful and desired change and relief from suffering. In psychotherapy she aims to help individuals look more closely at spaces inhabited and navigated in daily life, examine how past experiences impact the present, give voice to emotional life, and develop new perspectives and ways of being. She practices careful, intentional, and nonjudgmental listening, as putting words to one’s own experiences promotes conditions for growth. Her clinical orientation is informed by psychodynamic theory and includes integration of cognitive-behavioral elements. She values individual differences and working with people of various identities and backgrounds.
