Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist, ABPP
Amy Anthony has been a licensed psychologist since 1991. Her approach is focused on helping clients live their lives with greater clarity, purpose, and self-compassion. She has extensive experience in teaching mindfulness and compassion meditation as ways of enhancing resilience and enjoyment of life. Dr. Anthony has worked for many years in medical settings and is skilled in addressing work-related burn-out. Her goal is to provide compassionate care and full presence to the clients she serves.
Dr. Anthony enjoys helping clients discover their strengths, values, and innate creativity. Her philosophy can be summed up by the serenity prayer… accepting what cannot be changed, finding courage to change what can be changed, and practicing discernment. Her clinical work is informed by deep immersion in psychodynamic, humanistic, interpersonal, and mindfulness-based therapy orientations. She has taught mindfulness skills groups since 2010.
Dr. Anthony practiced in Dallas, TX for 27 years before moving to NW Arkansas in 2017 to enjoy the beautiful scenery and slower pace of life.
